World Stroke Day is a day to educate patients about recognition of stroke symptoms and the importance of early intervention to prevent long term disability. Infinity Leaders such as Bill Falco, MD, FACEP at Froedtert South Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie Hospitals have helped lead Stroke Programs by coordinating care from pre-hospital, through the emergency department, and to eventual intervention or medication treatment inpatient. With stroke minutes count, and programs such as this have lead to excellent patient outcomes.
