West Bend, Wisconsin is located in the heart of the Kettle Moraine in southeastern Wisconsin, less than an hour north of Milwaukee. It is a small community with a population just over 30,000. West Bend is close to numerous lakes and surrounding trails, and forests. You can enjoy biking, running, ice skating, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, camping, hiking, specialty shops, historic buildings, theatre, and an active nightlife. The District has received the prestigious Red Quill award, and the high schools have been named in the top 1000 high schools in the country by “Newsweek Magazine.” There are two local colleges present for additional resources. The community is nestled in the center of Wisconsin’s Washington County at the junction of U.S. Highway 45 and State Highway 33. It is also easily accessible to Interstates 43 and 94, U.S. Highways 41, and State Highway 144. Public transportation includes the City of West Bend Taxi Service and Washington County Commuter Express bus service, which transports people to and from the City of Milwaukee. There are two airports in close proximity to West Bend, General Mitchell International Airport and the West Bend Municipal Airport. With West Bend’s small town living, and fast pace of the greater metropolitan area, makes it a quality place to live.

Froedtert Health St. Joseph's Hospital

Froedtert Health St. Joseph's Hospital is an acute care hospital serving residents of West Bend and surrounding communities. This hospital is a member of Froedtert Health, a regional hospital system that includes Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee; Froedtert Health Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls; and West Bend Clinic.

Founded in 1930, the hospital boasts a brand new facility that was inaugurated in August 2005. The facility already has raised interest on a national and international basis for its innovative design and focus on safety. This facility is comprised of 70 total inpatient beds, 52 private medical/surgical rooms, 6-bed ICU, and a New Life Center with 12 LDRP beds.

Infinity HealthCare has been providing Emergency Medicine staffing and management services at Froedtert Health St. Joseph's Hospital of West Bend since July 1992. Serving more than 16,000 patients annually, this Level III Trauma Center consists of nine private and four cardiac/trauma rooms. Examine rooms are equipped with computers allowing immediate access to the most updated patient information. Integration of inpatient and outpatient services and clinics through the use of EPIC, the electronic medical record system, provides access to all patient records within the Emergency Department.
