In 1972, two Beaver Dam hospitals—Lutheran Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital—consolidated to form non-denominational Beaver Dam Community Hospitals, Inc. Over the years, Beaver Dam Community Hospital underwent several expansions to meet the growing need for improved facilities and expanded healthcare services. In 2003, the decision to build a new replacement hospital was announced. The new Beaver Dam Community Hospital opened for service on February 11, 2006. The 60-bed acute care hospital combines advanced medicine and technology with a state-of-the-art facility.

Infinity HealthCare has been a partner with Beaver Dam Community Hospital for providing Emergency Medicine staffing and management services since July of 2007 and Anesthesia services since 2009.

The Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma Center with a fully accredited pre-hospital paramedic program. The board certified, residency trained Emergency Medicine physicians and physician assistants treat 16,000 ED patients and 11,000 Urgent Care patients per year. The 18 room department houses state-of-the-art medical equipment and sophisticated cardiac monitoring systems to provide prompt evaluation and treatment.

The Anesthesia Department is a dynamic team of board certified anesthesiologist and certified registered nurse anesthetists from top training programs around the country. Utilizing ASA and OCOG clinical practice guidelines and recommendations as well as adherence to JAHCO/CMS measures and guidelines, this department offers top quality peri-operative care as well as general and regional anesthesia.
